I’m Chun-Jung (C. J.) Huang, a product designer based in the Washington, D.C. area. My work has focused on account, identity, and cross-platform experience.
Before moving into Human-Computer Interaction, I studied materials science. The work relied on abstract models and incomplete data, where decisions had to be made without the full picture. That still shapes how I approach product design.
MarginsLog is where I write about how I work and think through decisions over time. I will break down systems (like a fresh blue crab), examine tradeoffs, and track how choices shape trust, risk, and behavior when there isn’t a single right answer. I’m not sure how far this will go, but hopefully you’ll find one or two gold nuggets here.
In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hockey, and spending time with my loved ones.
